Cool I will be going this year (My first) so hope it is up to my expectations seen as I hear alot of great things about it.
I will be there with the company I work for selling lots of second hand gear we have collected.

ah we have about 2000 8020 E band radios, 20 or 30 HF mobile antennas, 70-80mhz folded dipoles about 7 of those, ummm heaps of old crystal repeaters lots and lots of stuff mate

This time I am going to try not to buy any cheap antenna's! the dual band mobile I bought at Wyong for $40 has finally expired just short of 12months old!
It was a a bad sign when on the drive home down the freeway it folded it self over, then about a month later the fold over snapped when I hit a tree, I welded the thing back to together, then the rod got rusty, I cleaned it, now the loading coil inside the base has rusted & won't make good contact inside the unit :'(
That will teach me to buy cheap copy's of antenna,s next time I will buy the top shelf products ;)

well not far of now 2 weeks, i will be there from when they open the gates till 11:30 a group of us go and have a BBQ by the lake till 1/2pm then go home, we been doing this for a few years, its great to talk about the day and show off what bargin you got, and allow all the traffic pass by.
if you leave befoe 12 and try and drive home the motorway becomes a carpark half way home so thats what we wait till 1 or 2pm to leave as it isnt so bad then.

not sure we just take meat and use the council gas BBQs at the lake

Heads up im after a few things at wyong
1. Any CHeap old coppys of CB Action
2. a Ferris mic for my ferris 5000 ( the one im after has Ferris on the front of the mic)
3. 2 extra hand held mic or a dirt cheap power Hand mic.
If Anyone sees any of these items cheap if you see me i get my mobile number off the page give me a ring please.
as i will not have a hand helld on me

No worries, I will be looking for a analouge 40ch knob, I will have a couple of spare handhelds on me so I can throw you one to use on the day if I see you, (saves on phone charges ;D )

i might be late getting up there on sunday my ryde up there cant go so i have to go buy train, and means i cant make the BBQ as i will have to catch the train back.

today was a blast lots of vender's was a huge day.

I heard someone on air (ham freq) mention that the cops came, they did not say who it was but they only said "if you know who was involved, you will understand why!"

Nar CBer's don't go one on one anyway.... they go and get all their mates and they usually shoot it out in the nearest maccas carpark. :)
