Hi big ted, you are best to call in to a radio shop that sells cb radio & see what antennas are in your price range & where best to mount them on your vehicle, depending on where you are there is a few shops around, The Amateur Transceiver Centre at Girraween http://www.atrc.com.au/ Andrews Communications at Greystanes http://www.andrewscom.com.au/ or Action Communications at Kingswood http://www.actioncomms.com.au/
Stay away from Dick Smith as they do not carry a lot of radio stuff, if at all ::)
I used to have a FM320, the predecessor to your radio, but they are very simple to use as far as I remember.

Hi Guys
I am new to the forum and to UHF radios, I hope you can help me.
I have been give a Philips FM 650 SD UHF radio, i plan to put in into a 4X4, my questions are, does anyone know where I can get a users manual (tried all sorts of searches on google with no luck) for this radio, I don't know what all the buttons on the mic and toggles do (apart from the obvious on off, channel selector), what sort of a aerial do I need to use etc. Basically all the basics for a beginner.
Thanks in advance
Ted
