Heard Milly on SYD07 this afternoon talking about Ornithological issues, which reminded me of pics taken by me a few weeks back of a Kookaburra sitting on my balcony. I have called him "Charlie" he has been a visitor around my neck of the woods for some years now & usually perches in a tree opposite my lounge room window, this particular night Charlie sat on my balcony for some time, I managed to capture him in a number of shots using a Canon EOS 30D, which is a pretty good camera, hence the clear images. In this pic I have selected what I think were the best images of Charlie, the viewer can see him front & back, a truly magnificent native bird of Australia.
I think Charlie likes me, as he sat on my balcony long after the intrusion of my camera, I also make the odd Kookaburra call to him. So call me eccentric, but I do like to talk to the birds, along with the odd human from time to time ! Lol.
